Sushi - The Art and The Culture
Sushi is a well-known cuisine in Japan.
It can be served at parties with friends, at special family occasions, or it can be eaten rather casually like a kind of fast-food.
There are many types of sushi, such as nigiri-zushi (variety of toppings served on a small bed of rice), chirashi- zushi(sashimi and other ingredients arranged on top of a bowl of rice), oshi-zushi (fish and rice pressed in a box then sliced), and maki-zushi (served in a seaweed roll).
In Japan, people enjoy eating these different kinds of sushi anytime during the day or night at their home or at a restaurant.
Since it is known as healthy food, the sushi called Edomae-zushi (also known as nigiri-zushi) has become very popular in the United States and recently has spread all over the world.
To produce the refined taste of sushi requires a skilled sushi chef.
We have obtained and combined such technology into our sushi machines.
TOMOE recognizes that sushi is an important part of our culture and we support its growth in Japan and other nations.@
